Our team of Staff welcome you to The Fountain Inn.
We are a Restaurant/Bar with an exciting menu which features freshly prepared dishes with interesting flavour combinations. We pride ourselves on using locally-sourced ingredients of the highest quality. Our team are passionate about the consistency and quality of the service and food.
We have a warm inviting atmosphere with a quirky, eclectic interior which adds to the overall dining experience.
You can find us located in the conservation area of Wells adjacent to the world renowned Wells Cathedral and a short walk from Vicars' Close, which is the oldest residential street (mid-14th century) in Europe.
We are delighted to welcome well behaved children to The Fountain Inn. We have a children’s menu and we provide high chairs available on request. We do insist that children are seated with adults and supervised at all times and that any noise or disruption is kept to a minimum.
Sorry, we do not allow dogs/pets except Guide dogs and Assistance Dogs.
FOOD ALLERGIES & INTOLERANCE'S
If you have any food allergies or intolerance's, please make a member of our Team aware as not all ingredients are listed on the Menu. *Note of Warning - We cook in an environment that uses most allergens on a regular basis. Whilst we endeavour to do our best, there can be no guarantee of an allergen free product. If you have a serious allergy, we request you bring your correct medication with you when dining.
PRE-ORDERS, DEPOSITS AND SERVICE CHARGES
We require a pre-order for covers of 10 or more and a deposit of £10.00 per head for all covers. A service charge of 10% will apply for tables of 10 covers or more.
Our Restaurant/Pub is a listed building and therefore we are limited with the provision of customer facilities such as a disabled washroom and baby changing room. We do apologise for this inconvenience.
We require 24 notice to cancel a booking.
For Parties of 10 or more we require a 72 hours booking cancellation.
We reserve the right to withhold deposits if cancellations are not made within timescales stated above.

We have made provision for our customers to park in the car park opposite when dining with us and we have a Free Parking Permit facility. Please ask a member of staff for your Parking Permit upon arrival. It is the customers responsibility to request a permit and clearly display this in the vehicle.
The car park is managed by Car Parking Management (CPM) UK an independent company. Customers can park between 12pm - 4pm and 6pm - 11.30pm. Parking without a valid permit may lead to a parking penalty. Penalty charges received MUST be queried with CPM directly and NOT the Fountain Inn. We are not responsible for any parking fines received. Please request a Permit when we are open for business to avoid any disappointment!
